慈悲あまねく慈愛深きアッラーの御名において。
In the Name of Allâh, the Most
Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
1. ター・スィーン・ミーム。
TâSînMîm
[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]
2. これらは，明白な天啓の書の御印である。
These are Verses of the manifest Book (that makes clear truth from falsehood, good from evil, etc.).
3. われは信仰する者のために，ムーサーとフィルアウンの物語の1部をありのままあなたに読誦しよう。
We recite to you some of the news of Mûsa (Moses) and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) in truth, for a people who believe (those who believe in this Qur'ân, and in the Oneness of Allâh).
4. 本当にフィルアウンは，この国において専横を極め，その民を諸党派に分け，かれらの中の一派を押さえて男児を殺し，女児は生かして置いた。本当にかれは非道であった。
Verily, Fir'aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them, killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the Mufsidûn (i.e. those who commit great sins and crimes, oppressors, tyrants, etc.).
5. われは，この国で虐げられている者たちに情けを懸度いと思い，かれらを（信仰の）指導者となし，（この国の）後継ぎにしようとした。
And We wished to do a favour to those who were weak (and oppressed) in the land, and to make them rulers and to make them the inheritors,
6. そしてこの国にかれらの地歩を確立させて，フィルアウンとハーマーンの軍勢に，かれらが警戒していたことを目の当たりに示そうとした。
And to establish them in the land, and We let Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Hâmân and their hosts receive from them that which they feared.
7. そこでわれは，ムーサーの母に啓示して言った。「かれに乳を飲ませなさい。かれの（身の）上に危険を感じた時は，かれを川に投げ込み，恐れたり悲しんではならない。われは必ずかれをあなたに返し，使徒の一人とするであろう。」
And We inspired the mother of Musa (Moses), (saying): "Suckle him [Musa (Moses)], but when you fear for him, then cast him into the river and fear not, nor grieve. Verily! We shall bring him back to you, and shall make him one of (Our) Messengers."
8. フィルアウンの家族は，（他日）かれらの敵になり，悲しみの種となるかれを拾い挙げた。本当にフィルアウンとハーマンそしてその軍勢は，罪深い者たちであった。
Then the household of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) picked him up, that he might become for them an enemy and a (cause of) grief. Verily! Fir'aun (Pharaoh), Hâmân and their hosts were sinners.
9. フィルアウンの妻は言った。「(これは）わたしとあなたの目の喜びです。かれを殺してはいけません。わたしたちの役に立つこともありましょう。また養子にしてもよい。」かれらは（その行っていることの意味に）気付かなかった。
And the wife of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "A comfort of the eye for me and for you. Kill him not, perhaps he may be of benefit to us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceive not (the result of that).
10. ムーサーの母の心は空になった。もしわれが，その心を（信仰で）強くしなかったならば，かの女は危くそのことを，打ち明けてしまうところであった。やっとかの女は，信者の一人として留まった。
And the heart of the mother of Mûsa (Moses) became empty [from every thought, except the thought of Mûsa (Moses)]. She was very near to disclose his (case, i.e. the child is her son), had We not strengthened her heart (with Faith), so that she might remain as one of the believers.
11. そしてかの女は（ムーサーの）姉に，「かれ（の後）を付けなさい。」と言った。それでかの女は，遠くからかれを見守っていたので，かれらは何も気付かなかった。
And she said to his [Musa's (Moses)] sister: "Follow him." So she (his sister) watched him from a far place secretly, while they perceived not.
12. われは前もってかれ（ムーサー）に乳母（の乳）を禁じて置いた。それでかの女（ムーサーの姉）は言った。「あなたがたに，かれを育てる家族をお知らせしましょうか。かれに懇に付き添う者たちであります。」
And We had already forbidden (other) foster suckling mothers for him, until she (his sister came up and) said: "Shall I direct you to a household who will rear him for you, and sincerely they will look after him in a good manner?"
13. こうしてわれは，かれをその母に返してやった。かの女の目は生気を取り戻し悲しみも消え失せた。かの女はアッラーの約束が，真実であることを納得した。だがかれらの多くは（このことが）分らなかった。
So did We restore him to his mother, that she might be delighted, and that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the Promise of Allâh is true. But most of them know not.
14. かれが成年に達し立派な者になった時，われは英知と知識を授けた。このようにわれは，善行をなす者に報いる。
And when he attained his full strength, and was perfect (in manhood), We bestowed on him Hukman (Prophethood, right judgement of the affairs) and religious knowledge [of the religion of his forefathers i.e. Islâmic Monotheism]. And thus do We reward the Muhsinûn (i.e. good doers - see the footnote of V.9:120).
15. （ある時）かれは，人が注意していない隙に町に入り，2人の者がそこで相争っているのを見かけた。その1人はかれの一派の者で，外は敵方の者であった。かれの一派の者が，敵方の者に対し，かれに加勢を求めた。そこでムーサーはかれを拳で打って，息の根を止めてしまった。かれは言った。「これは悪魔の仕業である。本当にかれは，人を惑わす公然の敵である。」
And he entered the city at a time of unawareness of its people, and he found there two men fighting, - one of his party (his religion - from the Children of Israel), and the other of his foes. The man of his (own) party asked him for help against his foe, so Mûsa (Moses) struck him with his fist and killed him. He said: "This is of Shaitân's (Satan) doing, verily, he is a plain misleading enemy."
16. かれは（祈って）言った。「主よ，本当にわたしは自ら不義を犯しました。どうかわたしを御赦し下さい。」それで（アッラーは）かれを赦された。本当にかれは寛容にして慈悲深くあられる。
He said: "My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, so forgive me." Then He forgave him. Verily, He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
17. かれは申し上げた。「主よ，あなたはわたしに恩恵を与えて下さいました。だからわたしは，もう決して罪を犯す者たちの味方にはなりません。」
He said: "My Lord! For that with which You have favoured me, I will never more be a helper for the Mujrimûn (criminals, disobedient to Allâh, polytheists, sinners, etc.)!"
18. 翌朝かれは，町で，あたりを警戒し，恐れを抱きながら町を見回すと，見るがいい。前日かれに援助を求めた者が，かれに助けを請うて叫んだ。ムーサーはかれに言った。「あなたはよくよく間違いをしでかす男だ」。
So he became afraid, looking about in the city (waiting as to what will be the result of his crime of killing), when behold, the man who had sought his help the day before, called for his help (again). Mûsa (Moses) said to him: "Verily, you are a plain misleader!"
19. それでかれが，自分たちの敵である者に暴力を振おうと決心した時，相手は言った。「ムーサーよ，あなたは昨日人を殺したように，わたしをも殺そうとするのですか。あなたは地上において，調和を計ることを望まない暴君になりたいのでしょう。」
Then when he decided to seize the man who was an enemy to both of them, the man said: "O Mûsa (Moses)! Is it your intention to kill me as you killed a man yesterday? Your aim is nothing but to become a tyrant in the land, and not to be one of those who do right."
20. その時一人の者が町の一番はずれから走って来て言った。「ムーサーよ。長老たちがあなたを殺そうと相談している。だから（すぐ）立ち去りなさい。わたしはあなたの誠実な忠告者です。」
And there came a man running, from the farthest end of the city. He said: "O Mûsa (Moses)! Verily, the chiefs are taking counsel together about you, to kill you, so escape.Truly, I am to you of those who give sincere advice."
21. それでかれは，恐れながら（あたりを）見回し，そこから逃げ出し，（祈って）「不義の民からわたしを御救い下さい。」と言った。
So he escaped from there, looking about in a state of fear. He said: "My Lord! Save me from the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)!"
22. かれは顔をマドヤンの方に向けて，「主は，わたしを平和な正しい道に御導き下さるかもしれません。」と言った。
And when he went towards (the land of) Madyan (Midian) he said: "It may be that my Lord guides me to the Right Way."
23. それからマドヤンの水場に来てみると，かれは一群の人びとが（その家畜に）水をやっているのを見た。また，かれらの片隅に，2人の婦人が（懸命に家畜を水場に近よらせまいとして）後方に控えているのを見かけた。かれは言った。「お2人はどうかなされたのですか。」2人は言った。「わたしたちはその牧夫たちが帰るまで，水をやることが出来ません。わたしたちの父は，大変年老いています。」
And when he arrived at the water of Madyan (Midian) he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take (their flocks). And our father is a very old man."
24. そこでかれは2人のために（家畜の群に）水をやり，それから木陰に退いて（祈って）言った。「主よ，あなたがわたしに御授けになる，何か善いものが欲しいのです。」
So he watered (their flocks) for them, then he turned back to shade, and said: "My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me!"
25. 2人の女の中の1人が，恥ずかしげにかれのところにやって来て言った。「わたしたちのために水をやって下さったので，父があなたを御招きして，御礼したいそうです。」そこでかれ（ムーサー）はかれのところにやって来て，身の上話をした。かれ（父親）は言った。「心配なさるな。あなたは不義の民から逃れたのです。」
Then there came to him one of the two women, walking shyly. She said: "Verily, my father calls you that he may reward you for having watered (our flocks) for us." So when he came to him and narrated the story, he said: "Fear you not. You have escaped from the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists, disbelievers, and wrong-doers)."
26. 2人の女の1人が言った。「かれを御雇いなさいませ。あなたのために雇って一番善いのは，強健で誠実（な人物）です。」
And said one of them (the two women): "O my father! Hire him! Verily, the best of men for you to hire is the strong, the trustworthy."
27. かれ（父親）は言った。「あなたが，もし8年間わたしのために働いてくれれば，わたしは2人の娘の中の1人を，あなたに妻せたい。もし10年を費やしたいならば，それもあなたの御自由に任せよう。わたしはあなたに，無理強いするつもりはない。アッラーが御好みなら，わたしが正しい人間であることが，あなたにも分るでしょう。」
He said: "I intend to wed one of these two daughters of mine to you, on condition that you serve me for eight years, but if you complete ten years, it will be (a favour) from you. But I intend not to place you under a difficulty. If Allâh will, you will find me one of the righteous."
28. かれ（ムーサー）は言った。「それはわたしとあなたの間（の約束）であります。2つの期限のどちらを満期としても，わたしを責めないで下さい。アッラーが，わたしたちの言ったことの，証人であられます。」
He [Mûsa (Moses)] said: "That (is settled) between me and you whichever of the two terms I fulfill, there will be no injustice to me, and Allâh is Surety over what we say."
29. それからムーサーが年期を満了し，家族と一緒に旅している時トール山の傍に，一点の火を認めた。かれは家族に言った。「あなたがたは待っていなさい。わたしは火を認めた。あそこからあなたがたに消息を持って来よう。または火把を持ち返って，あなたがたを暖めよう。」
Then, when Mûsa (Moses) had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he saw a fire in the direction of Tûr (Mount). He said to his family: "Wait, I have seen a fire; perhaps I may bring to you from there some information, or a burning fire-brand that you may warm yourselves."
30. そこにやってくると，谷間の右側の，祝福された地にある一本の木から声がした。「おおムーサーよ，本当にわれは万有の主，アッラーであるぞ。
So when he reached it (the fire), he was called from the right side of the valley, in the blessed place from the tree: "O Mûsa (Moses)! Verily! I am Allâh, the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!
31. さ，あなたの杖を投げなさい。」するとかれはそれが蛇のように動くのを見て，踵を返して逃げ出し，後ろも振り向かなかった。（その時また声がした）。「ムーサーよ，近寄れ。そして恐れるな。本当にあなたは，堅く守護されている者である。
"And throw your stick!" But when he saw it moving as if it were a snake, he turned in flight, and looked not back. (It was said): "O Mûsa (Moses)! Draw near, and fear not. Verily, you are of those who are secure.
32. あなたの手を懐に入れなさい。何の触りもないのにそれは白くなろう。恐の念があるならば，腕を（両脇に）締め付け（れば落付くだろう）。これらは，あなたの主からの，フィルアウンとその長老たちに対する2つの証明である。本当にかれらは，主の掟に背く者である。」
"Put your hand in your bosom, it will come forth white without a disease, and draw your hand close to your side to be free from fear (that which you suffered from the snake, and also by that your hand will return to its original state). these are two Burhân (signs, miracles, evidences, proofs) from your Lord to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs. Verily, they are the people who are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).
33. かれは申し上げた。「主よ，わたしはかれらの1人を殺しました。それでかれらがわたしを殺すのを恐れます。
He said: "My Lord! I have killed a man among them, and I fear that they will kill me.
34. しかしわたしの兄のハールーンはわたしよりも雄弁です。それでわたしの言葉が信じられる援助者として，かれをわたしと一諸に遣わして下さい。わたしは，かれらに虚言の徒とされることを恐れます。」
"And my brother Hârûn (Aaron) he is more eloquent in speech than me so send him with me as a helper to confirm me. Verily! I fear that they will belie me."
35. かれは仰せられた。「われはあなたの兄を，あなたの片腕とし，またあなたがた両人に権威を授けよう。そうすればわが印によってかれらはあなたがたに危害を与えられないであろう。あなたがた両人とあなたがたに従う者は，必ず勝利者となる。」
Allâh said: "We will strengthen your arm through your brother, and give you both power, so they shall not be able to harm you, with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), you two as well as those who follow you will be the victors."
36. ムーサーがわれの明白な印をもって，かれらの許に来ると，かれらは言った。「これは作り上げた魔術に過ぎません。わたしたちは，昔の祖先の間でも，こんなことは聞きませんでした。」
Then when Mûsa (Moses) came to them with Our Clear Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they said: "This is nothing but invented magic. Never did we hear of this among our fathers of old."
37. ムーサーは言った。「わたしの主は，誰がかれの御許から来たのか，また誰が（来世の）住まいを得るか，を熟知される。悪を行う者は決して成功しません。」
Mûsa (Moses) said: "My Lord knows best him who came with guidance from Him, and whose will be the happy end in the Hereafter. Verily, the Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) will not be successful."
38. フィルアウンは言った。「長老たちよ。わたし以外に，あなたがたに神がある筈がない。そしてハーマーンよ，泥（を焼いた煉瓦）でわたしのために高殿を築け。そしてムーサーの神の許に登って行こう。わたしには，どうもかれは虚言の徒であると思われる。」
Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "O chiefs! I know not that you have an ilâh (a god) other than me, so kindle for me (a fire), O Hâmân, to bake (bricks out of) clay, and set up for me a Sarhan (a lofty tower, or palace, etc.) in order that I may look at (or look for) the Ilâh (God) of Mûsa (Moses); and verily, I think that he [Mûsa (Moses)] is one of the liars."
39. かれとかれの軍勢は，地上において正義を無視し，高慢であった。そして自分たちは決してわれに帰されないのだと，考えていた。
And he and his hosts were arrogant in the land, without right, and they thought that they would never return to Us.
40. それでわれは，かれとかれの軍勢を捕え，海に投げ込んだ。見るがいい。悪を行う者の最後がどんなものであったかを。
So We seized him and his hosts, and We threw them all into the sea (and drowned them). So behold (O Muhammad SAW) what was the end of the Zalimun [wrong-doers, polytheists and those who disbelieved in the Oneness of their Lord (Allah), or rejected the advice of His Messenger Musa (Moses) ].
41. われは、かれらを（人びとを）火獄に誘う先導者とした。復活の日には、かれらは助けられることはない。
And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will not be helped.
42. 現世において、われはかれらに呪いを付き纒わせた。復活の日においても、かれらは嫌われるであろう。
And We made a curse to follow them in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will be among Al-Maqbuhun (those who are prevented to receive Allah's Mercy or any good, despised or destroyed, etc.).
43. 本当にわれは、昔の幾世代を滅ぼした後、人びとの開眼のために、また導きと慈悲のために、ムーサーに啓典を授けた。必ずかれらは訓戒を受け入れるであろう。
And indeed We gave Musa (Moses), after We had destroyed the generations of old, the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)] as an enlightenment for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy, that they might remember (or receive admonition).
44. われがムーサーに命令を下した時、あなたは（シナイ山の）西側におらず、また（その）証人でもなかった。
And you (O Muhammad SAW) were not on the western side (of the Mount), when We made clear to Musa (Moses) the commandment, and you were not among those present.
45. だが、われは（その後）幾世代を過ごさせ、かれらの生命を永らえさせた。あなたはまた、マドヤンの民の間に住んで、かれらにわれの印の読誦もしたわけではなかった。だがわれは（啓示を授け）使徒たちを遣わしたのである。
But We created generations [after generations i.e. after Musa (Moses) ], and long were the ages that passed over them. And you (O Muhammad SAW) were not a dweller among the people of Madyan (Midian), reciting Our Verses to them. But it is We Who kept sending (Messengers).
46. またわれが（ムーサーに）呼び掛けた時、あなたはシナイ（山）の傍らにいたわけではなかった。だがあなたの主からの慈悲として（クルアーンが授けられ）、あなた以前に１人の警告者ももたなかった（マッカの）民に警告するため（あなたは遣わされたの）である。必ずかれらは、訓戒を受け入れるであろう。
And you (O Muhammad SAW) were not at the side of the Tur (Mount) when We did call, [it is said that Allah called the followers of Muhammad SAW , and they answered His Call, or that Allah called Musa (Moses)]. But (you are sent) as a mercy from your Lord, to give warning to a people to whom no warner had come before you, in order that they may remember or receive admonition. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 20, Page 81].
47. もしそうしなかったならば、かれらの手が先になした（行いの）ため、かれらには災厄が襲いかかるであろう。その時になって、かれらは言うであろう。「主よ、何故あなたは、使徒をわたしたちに御遣わしにならなかったのか。わたしたちはあなたの印に従い、信心深い者になったものを。」
And if (We had) not (sent you to the people of Makkah) in case a calamity should seize them for (the deeds) that their hands have sent forth, they should have said: "Our Lord! Why did You not send us a Messenger? We should then have followed Your Ayat (Verses of the Quran) and should have been among the believers."
48. だが（今）わが手許から、真理がかれらに届けられると、言う。「ムーサーに与えられたものと同じようなものが、どうしてかれに与えられないのであろうか。」かれらは以前にも、ムーサーに与えられたものを信じなかったではないか。かれらは、「２つとも魔術である。互いに助けあうものである。」と言った。「わたしたちは（どちらも）信じない。」と言ったりした。
But when the truth (i.e. Muhammad SAW with his Message) has come to them from Us, they say: "Why is he not given the like of what was given to Musa (Moses)? Did they not disbelieve in that which was given to Musa (Moses) of old? They say: "Two kinds of magic [the Taurat (Torah) and the Quran] each helping the other!" And they say: "Verily! In both we are disbelievers."
49. 言ってやるがいい。「それなら、この２つよりも優れた導きとなる啓典を、アッラーの御許から持って来い。あなたがたが真実なら、わたしはそれに従おう。」
Say (to them, O Muhammad SAW): "Then bring a Book from Allah, which is a better guide than these two [the Taurat (Torah) and the Quran], that I may follow it, if you are truthful."
50. それでかれらがもしあなたがたに答えられないなら、かれらは只、自分の（低い）欲望に従っているに過ぎないことを知れ。アッラーからの導きがなく、自分の欲望に従う者以上に道に迷う者があろうか。本当にアッラーは悪を行う民を御導きになられない。
But if they answer you not (i.e. do not believe in your doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, nor follow you), then know that they only follow their own lusts. And who is more astray than one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allah? Verily! Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, disobedient to Allah, and polytheists).
51. 今われはかれら（マッカの民）にも言葉を届けた。必ずかれらは訓戒を受け入れるであろう。
And indeed now We have conveyed the Word (this Quran in which is the news of everything to them), in order that they may remember (or receive admonition).
52. われがこれ以前に啓典を授けた者たちはよく信仰している。
Those to whom We gave the Scripture [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] before it, - they believe in it (the Quran).
53. それがかれらに読誦されると、かれらは言う。「本当にこれは主から下された真理です。わたしたちはこれを信じます。わたしたちはこの（下る）以前からムスリムであったのです。」
And when it is recited to them, they say: "We believe in it. Verily, it is the truth from our Lord. Indeed even before it we have been from those who submit themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims (like 'Abdullah bin Salam and Salman Al-Farisi, etc.).
54. これらの者は２倍の報奨を与えられよう。かれらは（よく）耐え忍び、善をもって悪を退け、われが与えたものを施すために。
These will be given their reward twice over, because they are patient, and repel evil with good, and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided them.
55. また、つまらない談話を耳にする時かれらは身を引いて言う。「わたしたちには、わたしたちの行いがあり、あなたがたにはあなたがたの行いがある。あなたがたの上に平安あれ。わたしたちは無知蒙昧な者を相手にしない。
And when they hear AlLaghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk), they withdraw from it and say: "To us our deeds, and to you your deeds. Peace be to you. We seek not the ignorant."
56. 本当にあなたは、自分の好む者（の凡て）を導くことは出来ない。だがアッラーは御心のままに導き下される。かれは導かれた者を熟知なされる。
Verily! You (O Muhammad SAW) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided.
57. かれらは言う。「わたしたちが、もしあなたと一緒になって導きに従うならば、わたしたちはこの土地から追われることになろう。」われは、かれらのために安全な聖域を設け、われからの糧として凡ての果実をそこに集めたではないか。だがかれらの多くはそれが分らない。
And they say: "If we follow the guidance with you, we would be snatched away from our land." Have We not established for them a secure sanctuary (Makkah), to which are brought fruits of all kinds, a provision from Ourselves, but most of them know not.
58. われは如何に多くの（安楽で裕福な）生活に有頂天になった町を、滅ぼしたことであろうか。それ以来、かれらの居所には、（至極）僅かな人びとを除き住む者もない。（結局）われが、それらの相続者である。
And how many a town (population) have We destroyed, which were thankless for its means of livelihood (disobeyed Allah, and His Messengers, by doing evil deeds and crimes) ! And those are their dwellings, which have not been inhabited after them except a little. And verily! We have been the inheritors.
59. だがあなたの主はその（国の）首都に使徒を遣わし、かれらにわが印を読誦してからでなければ１つの町をも滅ぼしたことがなかった。またその民が悪を行わない限り、町や村を滅ぼさなかった。
And never will your Lord destroy the towns (populations) until He sends to their mother town a Messenger reciting to them Our Verses. And never would We destroy the towns unless the people thereof are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, oppressors and tyrants).
60. あなたがたに与えられたものは、現世の生活のための便益と、その飾りに過ぎない。だがアッラーの御許にあるものこそ、最善で永遠に残るものである。あなたがたは悟らないのか。
And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment, and that (Hereafter) which is with Allah is better and will remain forever. Have you then no sense?
61. われが良い約束を約し、それが果される者と、現世の生活の快楽を享受し、それから復活の日に（懲罰のために）連れ出されるような者と、同じであろうか。
Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise (Paradise), which he will find true, like him whom We have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of (this) world, then on the Day of Resurrection, he will be among those brought up (to be punished in the Hell-fire)?
62. その日（主は）かれらに呼びかけて、仰せられる。「あなたがたが言い張っていた、わが仲間たち（の神々）は何処にいるのか。」
And (remember) the Day when He will call to them, and say: "Where are My (so-called) partners whom you used to assert?"
63. 判決が言い渡される者たち（不信心者）は言う。「主よ、これらは、わたしたちが迷わせた者（外の不信心者）です。かれらを迷わせましたが自分たちも迷っていたのです。だがわたしたちは、あなたに対して潔白です。かれらが拝したのは、決してわたしたちではありません。」
Those about whom the Word will have come true (to be punished) will say: "Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray. We led them astray, as we were astray ourselves. We declare our innocence (from them) before You. It was not us they worshipped."
64. すると言われよう。「あなたがたの仲間に祈るがよい。」それでかれらはそれらに祈るのだが、それらは答えない。かれらは懲罰を見るであろう。もしかれらが導かれていたならば（よかったものを）。
And it will be said (to them): "Call upon your (so-called) partners (of Allah), and they will call upon them, but they will give no answer to them, and they will see the torment. (They will then wish) if only they had been guided!
65. その日、かれはかれらに呼び掛けて仰せられる。「あなたがたは、使徒に何と答えたのか。」
And (remember) the Day (Allah) will call to them, and say: "What answer gave you to the Messengers?"
66. その日、（凡ての）消息はかれらに分らなくなり互いに尋ねあうことも出来ない。
Then the news of a good answer will be obscured to them on that day, and they will not be able to ask one another.
67. だが悔悟して信仰し、善行に勤しんだ者は、成功者の中に入ることになろう。
But as for him who repented (from polytheism and sins, etc.), believed (in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW), and did righteous deeds (in the life of this world), then he will be among those who are successful.
68. あなたの主は、御望みのものを創られまた選ばれる。（だが）かれらは選ぶことは出来ないのである。アッラーに讃えあれ。かれは、かれらが（主に）配するもの（偶像神たち）の上に高くおられる。
And your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses, no choice have they (in any matter). Glorified be Allah, and exalted above all that they associate as partners (with Him).
69. またあなたの主は、かれらの胸に隠すことも、現わすことをも知っておられる。
And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal, and what they reveal.
70. かれこそはアッラー、かれの外に神はない。現世と来世における讃美はかれにこそ属し、かれに（現世と来世における）命令は属し、またかれにあなたがたは帰されるのである。
And He is Allah; La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). His is all praise, in the first (i.e. in this world) and in the last (i.e.in the Hereafter). And for Him is the Decision, and to Him shall you (all) be returned.
71. 言ってやるがいい。「あなたがたは考えられるのか。アッラーが復活の日まで夜を続けられたとすれば、あなたがたに光を与えられるものは、アッラーの外にどんな神があるのか。あなたがたは、なお聞かないのか。」
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Tell me! If Allah made night continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is an ilah (a god) besides Allah who could bring you light? Will you not then hear?"
72. 言ってやるがいい。「あなたがたは考えられるのか。アッラーが復活の日まで昼を続けられたとすれば、休息する夜をあなたがたに与えられるものは、アッラーの外にどんな神があるのか。あなたがたはなお分らないのか。」
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Tell me! If Allah made day continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is an ilah (a god) besides Allah who could bring you night wherein you rest? Will you not then see?"
73. かれは慈悲のこころから、夜と昼をあなたがたのために定められ、それであなたがたは休み、またかれの恩典を求めることが出来る。必ずあなたがたは感謝するであろう。
It is out of His Mercy that He has put for you night and day, that you may rest therein (i.e. during the night) and that you may seek of His Bounty (i.e. during the day), and in order that you may be grateful.
74. その日、かれはかれらに呼び掛けて仰せられよう。「あなたがたが言い張っていた。かれの同輩（の神々）は何処にいるのか。」
And (remember) the Day when He (your Lord Allah) will call them (those who worshipped others along with Allah), and will say: "Where are My (so-called) partners, whom you used to assert?"
75. われは凡ての民からそれぞれ証人を挙げて言う。「あなたがたの証拠を持ち出せ。」その時かれらは、真理はアッラー（御一人）のものであることを知り、またかれらが捏造していたものたちは消え去るであろう。
And We shall take out from every nation a witness, and We shall say: "Bring your proof." Then they shall know that the truth is with Allah (Alone), and the lies (false gods) which they invented will disappear from them.
76. さてカールーンは、ムーサーの民の一人であったが、かれらに対し横柄な態度をとるようになった。われは（夥しい）財宝をかれに与えたが、その（宝庫の）鍵は、数人の力の強い男たちにとっても重かった。皆の者は、かれに言った。「有頂天になってはなりません。本当にアッラーは思い上がっている者を御好みになられません。
Verily, Qarun (Korah) was of Musa's (Moses) people, but he behaved arrogantly towards them. And We gave him of the treasures, that of which the keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men. When his people said to him: "Do not be glad (with ungratefulness to Allah's Favours). Verily! Allah likes not those who are glad (with ungratefulness to Allah's Favours).
77. アッラーがあなたに与えられたもので、来世の住まいを請い求め、この世におけるあなたの（務むべき）部分を忘れてはなりません。そしてアッラーがあなたに善いものを与えられているように、あなたも善行をなし、地上において悪事に励んではなりません。本当にアッラーは悪事を行う者を御好みになりません。」
But seek, with that (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of legal enjoyment in this world, and do good as Allah has been good to you, and seek not mischief in the land. Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts).
78. かれは言った。「これを授かったのも、わたしが持っている知識（能力）のためである。」アッラーがかれ以前に、いく世代を滅ぼしたかを、知らなかったのか。かれらは力の点でかれよりも強く、蓄えも巨額であった。凡そ罪を犯した者は、その罪に就いて（直ぐには）尋ねられないのである。
He said: "This has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him generations, men who were stronger than him in might and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected. But the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) will not be questioned of their sins (because Allah knows them well, so they will be punished without account).
79. そこでかれ（カールーン）は、煌びやかに身を飾って人びとの中に出て行った。現世の生活を冀っている者たちは言った。「ああ、わたしたちもカールーンに与えられたようなものが戴けたならばなあ。本当にかれは、素晴しい幸運の持主です。」
So he went forth before his people in his pomp. Those who were desirous of the life of the world, said: "Ah, would that we had the like of what Qarun (Korah) has been given? Verily! He is the owner of a great fortune."
80. だが（真の）知識を授けられていた者たちは言った。「情けないことを言うな。信仰して善い行いに励む者にとっては、アッラーの報奨こそ最も優れています。だがよく耐え忍ぶ者だけが、それを戴くだろう。」
But those who had been given (religious) knowledge said: "Woe to you! The Reward of Allah (in the Hereafter) is better for those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and this none shall attain except those who are patient (in following the truth)."
81. それからわれは、かれとその屋敷を地の中に埋めてしまった。かれには、アッラーの外に助け手もなく、また自分を守ることも出来なかった。
So We caused the earth to swallow him and his dwelling place. Then he had no group or party to help him against Allah, nor was he one of those who could save themselves.
82. 前日（まで）かれの立場を羨んでいた者たちは、言い始めた。「ああ、本当にアッラーは、御望みのしもべたちに、多くも、また少くも、恵まれる（ことが分った）。アッラーの深い御恵みがなかったならば、わたしたちもきっと（地の中に）埋まっていたであろう。ああ、不信心の者たちは、決して成功しないことが分りました。」
And those who had desired (for a position like) his position the day before, began to say: "Know you not that it is Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it to whomsoever He pleases of His slaves. Had it not been that Allah was Gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up (also)! Know you not that the disbelievers will never be successful.
83. 来世の住まいとはこのようなもの。われは地上において威張りたがったり、悪を行わない者にこれを授ける。善果は、主を畏れる者にある。
That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqun (pious - see V.2:2).
84. 善行をなす者には、それに優るものを与え、悪行をなす者には、かれらの悪行に応じて報いる。
Whosoever brings good (Islamic Monotheism along with righteous deeds), he shall have the better thereof, and whosoever brings evil (polytheism along with evil deeds) then, those who do evil deeds will only be requited for what they used to do.
85. 本当に、クルアーンをあなたに授けられるかれは、必ずあなたを帰る所（マッカ）に帰されるであろう。言ってやるがいい。「わたしの主は、導きを齎す者が誰か、また明らかに迷っている者が誰であるかを、最もよく知っておられる。」
Verily, He Who has given you (O Muhammad SAW) the Quran (i.e. ordered you to act on its laws and to preach it to others) will surely bring you back to the Ma'ad (place of return, either to Makkah or to Paradise after your death, etc.). Say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord is Aware of him who brings guidance, and he who is in manifest error."
86. 啓典があなたに届けられることは、あなたの予期しなかったところで、偏にあなたの主からの慈悲である。だから決して不信心者を支持してはならない。
And you were not expecting that the Book (this Quran) would be sent down to you, but it is a mercy from your Lord. So never be a supporter of the disbelievers.
87. アッラーの印があなた（ムハンマド）に下された後、かれら（背信者）があなたをそれ（アッラーの印）から遠ざけるようなことがあってはならない。（人びとを）あなたの主に招け。決して多神教徒の仲間になってはならない。
And let them not turn you (O Muhammad SAW) away from (preaching) the Ayat (revelations and verses) of Allah after they have been sent down to you, and invite (men) to (believe in) your Lord [i.e: in the Oneness (Tauhid) of Allah (1) Oneness of the Lordship of Allah; (2) Oneness of the worship of Allah; (3) Oneness of the Names and Qualities of Allah], and be not of Al-Mushrikun (those who associate partners with Allah, e.g. polytheists, pagans, idolaters, those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah and deny the Prophethood of Messenger Muhammad SAW).
88. またアッラーと一緒に、外のどんな神にも祈ってはならない。かれの外には、神はないのである。かれの御顔の外凡てのものは消滅する。裁決はかれに属し、あなたがたは（凡て）かれの御許に帰されるのである。
And invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Everything will perish save His Face. His is the Decision, and to Him you (all) shall be returned.
