慈悲あまねく慈愛深きアッラーの御名において。
In the Name of Allâh, the Most
Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
1. 圧倒的（事態の）消息が，あなたに達したか。
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection);
2. （或る者の）顔はその日項垂れ，
Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.).[]
3. 骨折り疲れ切って，
Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allâh), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace)[] .
4. 燃えさかる獄火で焼かれ，
They will enter in the hot blazing Fire,
5. 煮えたぎる泉水を飲まされる。
They will be given to drink from a boiling spring,
6. かれらには苦い茨の外に，食物はなく，
No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant,
7. それは栄養にもならず，飢えも癒せない。
Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger.
8. （外の或る者たちの）顔は，その日歓喜し，
(Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful,
9. かれらは努力して心充ち足り，
Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism).[]
10. 高い楽園の中に置り，
In a lofty Paradise.
11. そこで，虚しい（言葉）を聞かない。
Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood,
12. そこには，流れる泉があり，
Therein will be a running spring,
13. 高く上げられた（位階の）寝床があり，
Therein will be thrones raised high,
14. 大杯が備えられ，
And cups set at hand.
15. 褥は数列に並べられ，
And cushions set in rows,
16. 敷物が敷きつめられている。
And rich carpets (all) spread out.
17. かれらは骼駝に就いて，如何に創られたかを考えてみないのか。
Do they not look at the camels, how they are created?
18. また天に就いて，如何に高く掲げられたか，
And at the heaven, how it is raised?
19. また山々に就いて，如何に据え付けられているか，
And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm?
20. また大地に就いて，如何に広げられているかを。
And at the earth, how it is spread out?
21. だからあなたは訓戒しなさい。本当にあなたは一人の訓戒者に外ならない。
So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds.
22. かれらのための，支配者ではない。
You are not a dictator over them.
23. だが誰でも，背き去って信仰を拒否するならば，
Save the one who turns away and disbelieves[]
24.アッラーは最大の懲罰でかれらを罰される。
Then Allâh will punish him with the greatest punishment.
25. 本当にわれの許に，かれらは帰り来るのである。
Verily, to Us will be their return;
26. かれらの清算は，本当にわれの任である。
Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning.
